How awful!

I cannot believe the last time I posted was before Thanksgiving!  I popped in this morning to change my banner image and discovered, despite my imaginative optimism, I pretty much abandoned things through all of December!  Admit it.  I get the award for AWFUL blogging, at least 2 years in a row.  And now you know one of my goals for 2013 . . . to be a better blogger!

Well, I won't bore you with my lackluster tale of busy work last month, but I'm happy to report that I'm back to the creative work that I love and very excited about the blank slate of a new year ahead.  I have lots of artistic goals and things I want to try and accomplish, and I look forward to sharing a bit of that with you as they unfold.  There will be sewing involved and messy paints and handmade stamps and construction pieces and . . . . can't wait to get caught up enough to get started.

In the meantime, I have managed to get two kits sent off to my Creative Team this week.  One will be released late Sunday, 1/13, and one on Wednesday, 1/16.  I can't show them to you yet, but thought I'd give you a sneak peek and offer up a prize drawing to give one of each away.

Sneaky Peek #1 . . .

Sneaky Peek #2 . .  .

Now, to win one of these kits . . .
You must share one of your goals for the new year ahead in a comment on this post.  You can share more than one if you'd like, but each person will only be entered into the drawing once.   Winners will be announced Sunday, January 13 so leave your comment before then.

In other news . . .
Deviant Scrap has some cool stuff happening.  The free zine, The Deviant Muse, we used to offer as a download has moved to the Deviant Scrap Blog to make it more accessible.  Be sure to drop by the blog frequently as there will be tutorials, articles, freebies, challenges, and tons of fun stuff shared on a regular basis.  You can find it HERE.

Whoo Whooo!! New kits are always fun.

My goals for 2013? Try to keep up with the dog rescue I work with. The Museum board I'm on and still have time to create stuff. Also, try to blog more than I did last year.

My biggest goal is to notice the GOOD things that happen all the time, no matter how small they may be. These past few years have been very difficult indeed, and I'm tired of waiting for the next bad thing to rear its ugly head. Time to notice all the good! I started a 2013 Good News Jar (see my blog) and we'll read the good news at the end of 2013. Time for a change! Can't wait to see your new goodies - thanks for the give away, my fingers are crossed.

Hey Marsha, love and admire yr work, already experimented with some of it, posted on my fb timeline--though definately aint done yet with the couple of kits I got so far lol -- so, goals for 2013 hmm...fancy resolutions having proved unattainable before, I decided this time to give meself sort of a more manageable challenge and choose one word per month and work with it -- by creating a collage --then inner work. The words I came up with are up to May --this too is part of the challenge, pick the right word. Eugenia Strange

Happy New Year to you, Marsha!
One of my goals is to get back to blogging more as well. I also have some long-term projects that I have been working on for a while and keeping most of the details a secret, but one of the things I have my sights on is learning to make stop-action films! Thank you for all the artistic inspiration you share!

Wishing you a great evening,

Betty

Sneak peeks have me wondering! thanks for the change...
One of my goals for this year is to "see" me. I want to turn inward and learn more about me, and I want my art to reflect that. Thanks!

Thanks for the sneak peak! My goal this year is to participate regularly in challenges. They force me to create. Believe it or not the deadline makes me crank up photoshop and have some fun!
