Geishas on the way!

After cleaning house, going to the market, running errands . . . got a few geisha pix extracted, cleaned up and colored. I have lots of work left to do as most pix I have are either black and white and/or have lots of dust and scratches, etc. But, after a grueling PhotoShop session, couldn't resist making something with some of the pix.

I stumbled across an interesting trick. I extracted the three images below from the background, fixed flaws, colored, and then added back in on top of the original background which I recolored and placed a texture over. I added drop shadows for depth. I like the effect of putting the images back in their original background.

If I can work some fish into this, I may make this my new blog banner. Hmmmm. May have to go work on that now.

Sometime in the next couple of days I hope to have some Geisha's in Etsy to go with the East is West series in the post below.

I have some exciting things planned next week for my blogversary celebration. Be sure to keep an eye out for drawings and more! Have a great weekend everybody!
