Neva, my dad's wife, has been so gracious to let us clean out dad's stuff now so we don't have to make another trip back soon. So that's what we've been doing. Have everything just about taken care of - few more loose ends to tie up. My brother is taking the boat and everything else we want to keep (pictures, etc.). He drove so I could fly home. The estate is near settled and that is amazing to me. I thought it would take months. Anyway, I have felt somewhat normal despite what we've been doing. We've had lots of giggles through the tears. Most of the family has left now except for my brother and our spouses. My brother will leave Friday. We're flying home Sunday afternoon and I cannot wait to get back to my version of everyday life.
Thank you all for your kind comments and all of your prayers and wishes. I used them all very well, I promise. You have meant so much to me.

dearest Marsha, my heart aches for you. Your words were so true about the spirit being what makes the person....at my dad's wake, we commented that it really didn't look like him and realized that's because there was no smile....dad was rarely without a smile. And I do believe the geese were a little wink from your dad...he wants you to know that he's OK and wants the best for you.
Sending many hugs and prayers to see you through...
Marsha, I'm glad you found some giggles through the tears. Without knowing your Dad, I'm sure that's what he wishes for all of you. I can only imagine how much you look forward to being home. We all look forward to 'seeing' you more often too. My prayers are with you always, Theresa
I'm glad you are getting things taken care of so easily and quickly. It will be good for you to be back home and get settled in "real life" again. Just remember we are all there for you even then. Have a safe trip.
Hi Marsha, still thinking of you and your family. I am glad the details are not bogging you all down and are being taken care of swiftly, that in itself is a bit of peace I know.
Have a safe trip home.
I am so very glad that things are falling into place and that they are moving with your needs. Your Dad would want that. I want you to get home and back to everyday life. It will be just what you need. I have felt unable to express the depth of my love and comfort for you. Please know that it is there and strong. I am amazed at your resilence. Love, Jamie
Sending you my prayers Marsha <3
I'm so glad you'll be heading home soon, Marsha. :) And I know your Dad would want you to smile and giggle, and remember good times and live your California life to the fullest. Lots of love! xox Pam
Just to let you know that I am thinking of you during this time. I'm hoping that all goes well and you get home safely and can get some much needed rest.
(((((HUGS))))) from my end of the world!
I'm so happy to hear that you've taken care of so many details so quickly and will be heading home soon, Marsha. Angels and prayers are still surrounding you, as is your Dad's love. Hugs & Blessings, Terri xoxo
Marsha, it's good to hear that you have some smiles and giggles in this time. When you remember someone, I think that it's so normal to remember some of the funny things...and your dad would have wanted to you giggle!
Hugs and prayers.
Lisa
It must be so good for you to pick up your normal daily things soon. Thats the best thing for someone and than you can remember your dad between your own things! That will feel better.
I can't express exactly what I mean because English is not my first language but I'm sure you know what I meant to say.
Hugs Julia
It's good to shed tears and giggle at the same time at moments like this. I'm glad you settled what you had to, and hope you will be in normal "routine" soon, so you can start grieving and healing in your own envirement. (I hope I use the right words - sometimes it's difficult to find the right ones in English...) Thinking of you Marsha!
