Yesterday's finds . . .
I just realized from the picture you can't tell how big these pieces are - mostly nickel and quarter size. Wait, I hate tying everything to money these days, so let's say strawberry and grape size.
It was a beautiful sea glass looking day . . . warm but not hot, sunny but no sunburn somehow, negative low tide so you got to see things that haven't been revealed by mother nature for a few weeks, small surf so no big drenching waves should you not time things right (reaching for a piece and quickly retracting before the wave gets you), and no one on the beach but me and my lovely mom-in-law, daughter and boyfriend for long stretches of time (yeah, here in southern CA, no one on the beach on a sunny warm holiday - who'd thunk?)
The only problems now are, can't wait to go back - kinda thought about skipping chores today and going back - and now I have to clean and sort the glass. I am compelled in my anal retentive ways to color sort my glass as you can see in just a few (a FEW) of my jars below (I have about a dozen - 4 different shades of aqua alone, marbles (yes, people seem to lose their marbles at the beach - interpret that however you like, I've always thought it strange), 3 shades of green, china, royal blue, etc.). I still have bags from the last three visits to clean and sort. Obviously the finding is the fun part for me, the rest is a compulsion I can't let go of but excusably put off.

Ohhhh I love sea glass. Back home in Nova Scotia there was a little town we'd sell crafts at during the summer and it was on the water, er next to the water. Anyways why am I sharing this? Because along the shore there the *beach* was completely covered in sea glass and sea pottery in one area. There was soooo much of it that I was sure it had to have been put there on purpose. I used to fill my pockets. Tons of the stuff! I used to pick it up and try to look as least crazy as I could since it was barely a beach and more of a rocky area where the water met the land and it was a touristy area and there I was with my butt stuck in the air shoveling greedy handfuls of glass into my pockets! I always imagined that maybe they didn't want tourists using the *beach* as a beach and dumped broken glass on the rocks as a deterrent and the waves smoothed things over.
Your beach glass collection is beautiful!
Oh I like the older jars holding the sea glass, hubby and I keep trying to make it to the beach to find more. I have mine in brandy snifters in the kitchen window with tea light candles in them. They may the glass glow. I like the arrangement in your picture too, it looks like you meticulously placed the pieces, it it was just a dump it out, it certainly was kind to you.
Sea glass, huh? Being from Iowa, I'm not familiar with it. It's beautiful. Do you use it in art or simply enjoy it as-is?
PS ~ I'm diggin your music selections.

It would take me two decades to get that much sea glass here!
