My piece for this project is in the sidebar and in the post below this one.

Other Important Miscellany

Dear sweet Heather of Creative Solace sent me the most beautiful altered assemblage the other day. I was so shocked and surprised and absolutely tickled pink! I am horrible to not have posted pictures sooner but I had the hardest time finding my camera after unpacking from vacation and the scans just didn't work. Found my camera today and here are some pix of this fun scrumptious piece . . . Thank you, thank you, thank you Heather!

Marion of Bockel24 is hosting a Zetti ATC swap and I finally have my cards done. I have decided I stink at ATC's - the small size just takes me so long to work with and I am rusty on Zetties. In fact, I'm not sure these really qualify as Zetties. They kinda look like my regular characters and I think of Zetties as being a little edgier and more expressive and not so safe as mine are. Oh well . . .

One last thing

Tomorrow will be the day to find Buried Treasure! You'll have to come back and see what scary old post I put up for you to see as a part of Seth Apter's The Altered Page blog's Buried Treasure project. Along with an old post, I am going to post a never before seen picture of the very first collage I made officially for my new life in art just about one year ago! You will probably get a big kick out of it and wonder why I didn't give up right then and there! I can't believe I'm going to show you!

But while we're on the subject of older work. I told you that a women's website wanted to post some of my work. To my surprise, the work they wanted was all older pieces. Oh, you know how I am about my older work - icky pooh pooh. This took some courage for me to let them use what they wanted. It's up. You can see it here http://www.vennti.com/2009/07/spotlight-marsha-salyer-jorgensen/

Just luuuurve the ATCs you are sending to Marion for the zetti swap:-)) I'm very sure that these all qualify as zetti - even Marion says there is no 'wrong' way to do zetti! I'm in that swap too - I hope I get one of these in return!! Had a look at the piracy group on Flickr - v.interesting and love all the blog badges. Going away somewhere very remote for a few days but will look more closely on return. Had a look at the other website and I love your early stuff. Congratulations, it looks fabby :-)) Kate

Marsha, what a great Arty Start to the Campaign!!! Love everyone's offerings!! Hey I'll share my emphemera with the 6th artist! I just love her Sinner's slant!!! Saw the Spotlight article, Kudos!! Your "old" stuff is awesome too. Although I share your feeling about some of my old stuff. I just had to try everything till I found my "footing"! My interpretation of your Zetti's besides their awesomeness, is that they are pushing out of the box (or room) they are in. Hmmmm.....xoSusan

All I want to know is HOW do you all get so much done? Look at those fabulous anti-piracy pieces, and Marsha, do you make collages in your sleep? Wonderful stuff! I am a slug. Your slug friend, Pam

You mean you're "icky pooh pooh"-ing those gorgeous pieces in that link! Please say I read it wrong.

I also joined that Zetti ATC swap and I don't know if what I'm doing is going to be edgy enough. I think I've gotten a little in over my abilities at this point! I love what you did though. Gorgeous.

I would love to see the development of your art. It can be such an inspiration to see someones artistic growth by looking at their older work. It gives me hope!

All of Zetti are wonderful. And, so is the rest of your art. Love it.

Your Zetti ATC's are beautiful, and definitely zetti enough! I sent my cards out to her last week and I can't wait to see the returns, so many great works of art flying around the world!

Hi Marsha - I received your Zetti #5 in the mail from Marion's swap
earlier this week but couldn't get your comment button to work until today.
What can I say? One of THE best ATC's I've received (and I have more than 100) Beautifully creative and impeccably constructed! Thank you. I'd love to post it on my blog for my visitors to view, but will wait to get permission from you!
