All mixed up

I'm all mixed up. Good, but mixed up. Daughter continues to get better so no worries there. She's still home though. And, I'm tired from sleeping on the couch and getting a cough. I have so many things half done and I HATE that - I'm such a don't-move-on-to-the-next-thing-until-the-first-thing-is-done gal. And I have so much I want to do and want to get done . . .

I just joined facebook yesterday and amazed at it! I've had contact with people I haven't seen or heard from in 20 years and my head is spinning with nostalgia. It's a very weird feeling to get in touch with one's old life no matter how good your old life was. Facebook could become very addictive if I am not careful. I made an updated slideshow of my family for my facebook profile and thought I would share it here if you'd like to see (it's kinda long though). It's called 22 years of my life (but it won't take 22 years to see, it's not that long - though it might seem that long to some) . . . here's the link

Take care of yourself Sweetie!!! I am so glad to hear daughter is getting better. Half done is better than not done at all. At least that's what I am telling myself! LOL!!!

Love Ya! Jamie

Hi!!
Looking at some older posts and found a comment from you - I've been reading through your blog and, wow, my son is recovering from the S flu and I'm taking Tamiflu (which makes you loopy:)
So sorry to hear about the loss of such a young life, too, it's so hard to understand how lightly people take life sometimes.
I'm looking around for artists to participate in an art exchange (Pam Carriker, Seth Apter, Susan Tuttle and many more talented folks) that I was invited to join (for some reason:) If you have a piece you can part with, let me know.
I'll be back, your blog is amazing!
And like your friends say, take care of you! I've been away from the studio for more than a week and I'm going nutso!

I think I'd better steer away from face book, unlike you I have too many started not finished projects already. Glad to hear the flu's on the way out - fingers crossed you've skipped it.

You all take care and thank you for sharing....with my addictive nature (chocolate, art and good things of course) I am keeping my distance from Facebook...:)

Warning - Facebook is a big old time sink. I find it completely overwhelming. So I've backed waaaaay off. :) But it is nice that you've reconnected with people that you knew and old times. That's good stuff - just don't live in FB Land 24-7, or I'll have to come over and drag you away from your computer! xox Pam
PS Glad the chicklet is better - take care of yourself!

I have to admit facebook is cool. Since my relatives all joined in the last year or so, I've seen more photos of family, including siblings, than I have in all the years before that. It's crazy, but cool. Also, cousins you haven't spoken to in years plus every person who shared a class with you in school and all the people in between will add you as a *friend*. hahaha

Did you know you can make a Facebook fanpage for your business? I have one for mine with ACTUAL fans, very satisfying, plus it's quick and easy to update etc. Just another one of the fingers of the long reaching hand of technology!

I felt very exposed when I started posting on Facebook. All of a sudden I had family reading about my art and art "friends" seeing all my family conversations. It was a little odd at first.

I enjoyed you slide show, my how time flies!
Have fun with Facebook, I am not on it myself, as I know I tend to get addicted to stuff rather easily, lol!

As a blogless person, I come down on the side of liking Facebook, the lazy person's blog. Since I joined in March (at the repeated urging of my old First Grade best friend), I've managed to get back in touch with folks from every stage/school/job in my life. From all over the world. I like the informality and ease of keeping up with friends on FB. But still I'm a very circumspect poster. I'm glad you are on FB now! And I really appreciate your wonderfully thoughtful comments about my art! Your opinions mean a lot to me!
Glad Lauren is better...take care of yourself!
