I tried working a bit differently today and tried to teach myslef a bit more about Photoshop. I still like hand trimming and hand coloring images, which I did mostly here, but am trying to learn how to clean up and sharpen pictures. Had a small bit of success, still have a lot to learn.

This is a 5 x 7 collage using a face and body from the Library of Congress, a castle from flickr's shoofly stock, wings from Itkupilli.etsy.com, background from designer Lorie Davison of Studio Lorie at Scrapbookgraphics.com, and a frame from Holliewood Studios at Oscraps.com. Designer pieces were used with a commercial license. The face, body, wings and castle were reprinted and trimmed with scissors. The face and body were hand colored with ink and pastel.

You may download these pictures. They are form the Library of Congress and appear here as they did before I altered them digitally and by hand.
Soccer tomorrow. Then computer work, no art making tomorrow . . . I think.

Blue Yonder is soooo gorgeous Marsha....WOW! I loove it's stunning, striking simplicity!!
So much gorgeous work, I love it!!
As I´m mad about architecture, I LOVE your new piece, Marsha! And thanks for the freebies, they´re great.
Each piece is quirkier and more creative than the last. I love this one. X Hayley
This piece is so beautiful and crisp and sharp, Marsha ! It really gets me - maybe the gorgeous jewel tone you achieved or the haunting look in the eye of the woman you altered...whatever, I really love it.
Thanks for the image - that face is incredible.
Happy Sunday !
Hauntingly beautiful and classically gorgeous! Nice work, Marsha! I love the effect of the "frame within a frame" when it's matted. STunning! Thanks for this delicious freebie too! Have fun at soccer! Hugs, Terri xoxo
Wonderful! So interesting to see the "before and after" shots. And I love how the image overlaps the inner frame as well.
YES!! I love the castle-crown!!
Lookin' good Marsha x
Whatever you're doing, it's working! This is so well done, and I like that the castle/hat extends beyond the inner frame. Castle hats must be the coming thing. I believe Ann's zlightly zetti was sporting one too! Your work always has such clarity, Marsha. This is beautifully done, as are they all!
I love this Marsha and yes it's new and exciting too- beautiful work!
Fascinating to see the two pieces you used Marsha. Thanks for the peek. :o)
