Changes coming . . .

I absolutely detest the new blogger interface.  It makes it sooooooo much more difficult to post pictures, which is the main thing I do here.  I don't want the pictures to open in a separate window for one thing and I want to be able to link them without having ugly link type showing in weird places.  So, I'm debating whether to find a new blog home or just quit blogging altogether.  I will be eventually removing all of  my blog content here because I hate the pictures opening in a new window.   Actually, to be honest, there are days I think about just going to get a job and quit the creative thing altogether.  C'mon . . . I'm not the only one that has days like that, am I?

Well, I'd love to be able to show you my new kits and some new work - but I'm so frustrated with blogger at the moment I could scream.   I hate that you can't link pictures without the ugly type showing around it.  What is blogger thinking?  Anyway, will just show you the new kit for now . . .

I'll keep you posted on where I end up with the blog.  If you have any other blog host reviews or tips you'd like to share, I'd love to hear them.

Hmmmm... now you have me worried. Either I've already switched over a long time ago and didn't notice or I'm going to be switched over and then have a fit. (Didn't notice any changes yet, but then I don't think my photos have URLs of their own. Or it could be because I've barely posted latey. Oops.) Hope your day gets a lot more ugh-free! Now I have to go prove to comments that I'm not a robot... Nope, just a human who cannot read illegible Captcha text. Ugh! LOL!!! Hugs!

I use the brilliant Windows Live Writer (free) to create my blog posts and upload from there to blogger. If you've got a Mac though obviously that's no use.

The new Blogger interface does have its bugs, doesn't it? But I do hope you will stay here, Marsha! I'm not as good at blogging as I should be, but I would miss seeing you! And please don't give up and go get a "real" job! Eek!

Blogger started the new interface a year ago I think, but I resisted and chose to use the old interface. Recently they took that option away and now everyone has to use the interface.

I have the bare bones of a new Wordpress blog started. It will probably be a month or more before it's ready to launch as I slowly move over links and get it looking the way I want. The move will probably be a good thing as I strive to reinvent my blog over there and make things better than ever I hope. I've come full circle and want to really build a busy and productive blog with lots of new features in the coming year so I'll keep you posted!

So happy to have you back Marsha! I check for your posts and new kits several times a week. My life has been chaotic too with my daughter, son in law, and 2 grand kids moving back home for a few months. I prefer reading blogs to Facebook..absolutely gobbles my time I find! I'm off to buy your latest kits.

Wordpress is so much easier - I've never really liked Blogger - hence being a very poor blogger!

Don't leave the creative life!

Try Windows Live Writer. It's what I use and I love it.

You can link pictures without the link showing....
Add your picture to your post, then click on it so its highlighted, then click Link. Add the link and walla, your picture is now linked without the type showing....

I'm afraid the only way to get pictures to not open on another page is to turn on the light box setting.

I'm having my own issues with blogger too and have been considering leaving. So you are definitely not alone

OMG! I FEEL your pain, My Sistah!!! I, too, stuck with the "old format" in Blogger. Since I decided to dust the cobwebs, I took a chance to update the format and bit the virtual, proverbial bullet! Frankly, I was LOOKING for a "bullet" by the time I finished the tedious process of becoming a lemming!!! Wither thou goest, My Darling!!! Will follow you to the ends of the earth!!! Hugs, Terri ♥ BTW - Many thanks for your warm wishes and welcome back to Blogland!!! ♥

Check out Typepad. That's what I use for all my blogs.
