Rough draft . . .

Sorry for the glare - I still have to learn to photograph my art. Anyway, thought I'd share the rough draft of my first 3 dimensional piece of altered art, a shadowbox. Nothing's attached and I move things around and add stuff and take stuff away every time I walk by it, but I feel good that I am finally brave enough to even try this. I'll show you the finished product in the next few days (if I make up my mind by then!).

idea---(from someone who has no business putting out ideas).....

What if you broke the plate - not into a gazillion pieces but shattered it into several large pieces that could easily be put back together but w/a little space. To me it would make a statement (not sure what but something?) Really LOVE the concept - I love 3D assemblage art even tho I can't do it myself.

I know . . . it needs something edgy, it's a little too neat and blah and safe. Breaking the plate is something I need to ask for permission for in therapy though! Ha! Just kidding - just goes against my grain to break it, but that might be just what I need. I'll keep thinking on it! Thank you! Your ideas are always appreciated and welcome!
