Spreading wings . . .

I am stretching. You all know by now that I really struggle with backgrounds and extra elements. And, I've been feeling a little flat about my work, no fizz. So, last night and this morning I decided to stretch a bit and get as complicated with extra stuff as I dare. (some of you are snickering I'm sure because you all are so good at it) Anyway, here's what I came up with. I'm not lovin' it, but this IS about the journey and discovering I think so . . .

I wish . . .

It is going to be a busy weekend so I don't know how much more stretching will happen here. We'll see. Hope you have a lucky Friday the 13th and a great weekend!

Thanks Jolt! You are always so kind. Maybe I sound hard on myself because the end result is so far off from what I envisioned, so far off from what I tried to do. I am in hand training mode - training hands to do what eyes and mind see. You are a sunshine spreader though and I need all of those I can get!

you struggle with your backgrounds? are you kidding me? i love your backgrounds! i have even tried, unsuccessfully, to imitate your backgrounds! your art rocks, and it has your signature style!
let go of your "envision" and enjoy the journey.
when i let go of "envision," which i usually have to do, i create much better art.
the joy is in the journey. just have fun!
