My very closest friends and a lot of hiking buddies call me Mamafish. I have been working hard this week to overcome my art monsters, and I'm a bit drained and blah and I was thinking how I miss being called Mamafish since I moved, and how good it felt to have a nickname (it's a long story how I got it) and how my friends always made me feel better. So, I just imagined myself being strong Mamafish and this is what I got. I was hoping to see my good friends this weekend but I think I am on my way to bed, still feel icky. Maybe for my birthday in a couple of weeks we can get together (at PJ's hint, hint!).

Hey Mamafish! First of all, I am sorry you are feeling "icky" still and hope you will be on the mend VERY soon.... as for the blahs, maybe that's partly the end of the year hangover... the unsettled, 'what's ahead' thing and the mourning of the passing of time? At least that's what I end up with. (Maybe that's why there are so many cab rides home on New Year's.... Lots of drinking to 'forget' what is being felt)
Your art is always amazing and your talent is just second to none... if in your melancholy this is what you came up with, GeeZ.... wouldn't want you to be sad all the time, but your latest effort is fabulous! Just wish I had your prolific nature. I'm lucky to think of something and actually MAKE it.... don't know if I'm lazy or scared of the result...
I hope your friends take your hint and come through for you on your birthday. Until then, Mamafish, I hope the rest of us and our comments will buoy you up!

I wish I could think more abstract and surreal, well, people would say I do.. lol... I guess I'd like to create in more of a surreal way.
