I have the blahs . . .

(notice I am playing blah, sleepy like music today too)

I'm alive but still in my jammies (not my sailor suit) and lovely bed hair at 4 in the afternoon - researched on the net all day, can't muster up enthusiasm for anything else. My desk is completely cleaned off - not a good thing. Ideas galore floating around in my head (kind of overwhelmed by them actually), lots of pix to take for the etsy store - at least know what I'm putting in there to start so should still open by Thanksgiving (though with this economy it is just like me to open a store for frivolous unnecessary items no one has money to buy). I'm scared to actually open as a matter of fact - don't know a thing about the business paperwork side of this. Anyway, just can't do anything that requires getting something out and using it. What's that about? I even got a cool pile of receipts/ephemera from the 40's and 50's at the Rose Bowl flea market yesterday and have no desire to look through or sort them today - that's unusual for me, usually have it sorted in the car on the way home (even though it is only 2 miles away) I'm just plain ol' blah today. Hope hubby brings me a big icey soda fountain coke home - that will help.

I'm going to the beach tomorrow to look for sea glass (maybe in my sailor suit) - one of my favorite things to do. Maybe that will give me some energy for the rest of the week.

Blah days are just part of running your own show. Don't beat yourself up. Leave your desk and know that when you return, you'll be recharged.

When all else fails, I do laundry. That way, I still feel like I had a productive day.

You'll learn the business side of it - e-mail me if you want some hints there. And who cares about the economy? Dreams have a way of succeeding no matter the weather. Have faith, my friend.

When I have a blah day I take a mini vacation from my *chores* that I think need doing. Then I go try on my wedding dress and pretend I'm a vampire and get strong cravings for beet juice because it's so bloody red and I watch the most stupidest sitcom I can find. The sort of sitcom that makes you stupider just for having watched it. That or the Golden Girls, which every one knows is NOT a stupid sitcom but one of the most fricking brilliant comedic shows ever to grace the telly. If you don't have access to the Golden girls than just humming the opening song, "Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnk-you for beeeeeeeeeeeeeing a frieeeeeeeend...." Er..or screeching at the top of your lungs, can help alleviate the blahs. What ever works for you.
That or a mini dance-a-thon. Play some super hyper crazy dance music as loud as you dare and start bee-bopping around the place. You'll know you've reached the required level of energetic bebopping to dispel a serious case of the blahs if things are rattling on their shelves etc.
Speaking of blahs, blah blah blah, gonna shush up now. *grins*

I hope sea glass hunting helped cure your blahs. The sound of the ocean always invigorates me, even if the see air makes me sleepy....

What a great pic!!!
In a sucky economy I think people are going to turn to places like your Etsy shop for the holidays. No more flat screen T.V.s and jewelry.
